cheesy ones (The Warriors, Phantom of the Paradise, Jesus Christ Superstar,
etc.), the artists (Stanley Kubrick, Jim Henson), all of them
those
films just have a look, a feel, a pulse
the spirit of that era is

"The three most important influences on me as an artist -- Sr. Martha
Marie ('my sixth grade English teacher who helped me realized I was a
writer'), Dr. Arthur Lennig ('the sole reason I know how to shoot a scene'),
and my dad, John Swantek ('who taught me how to dream')"
Quick Facts:
Lived in Los Angeles for a short period of time and worked as an Assistant
Dialogue Editor on multiple television shows and motion pictures
first began to write Wik as a retelling of the Garden of Eden story, something
that became so imbedded that it in no way can be seen in the final product
truly believes in letting the audience be a proactive participant
in the story, often refusing to answer questions viewers may have regarding
his films, "once the film is finished, the viewers' answers are as
correct as mine"

a film Times Union film critic Peter Hanson has called "an ambitious
project far more impressive than its homespun origins", Swantek &
Maine have worked on numerous motion picture, television, & corporate
projects.
Swantek & Maine
have worked in some capacity on such television programs as HBO's Arli$$,
FOX's Malcolm in the Middle, USA's Silk Stalkings, MSNBC's Hardball With
Chris Matthews, TNT's Pensacola: Wings of Gold and have worked with such
artists as Britney Spears, Jewel, Andy Garcia, Andie McDowell, The Cure,
Blue Man Group, Shaquille O'Neal and Shaggy. This past spring, they had
the opportunity to shoot & edit a piece featuring former president
George H. Bush.
